Squamish Junction Park at 37950 Cleveland Ave. is the site on Saturday (May 24) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the annual Balding for Dollars. The event raises money for family support programs, educational materials, medical supplies and more for the cancer ward and outpatient clinic at B.C. Children’s Hospital. You don’t have to go bald, but please consider giving a donation to this very worthy cause. The Squamish Dragon Boat Association sponsors the event.

I must admit I was a little apprehensive about going on the new Sea to Sky Gondola last week, but friend Patsy Riecker convinced me to give it a try. I don’t have a season’s pass yet, but I’m thinking about it.
