Squamish has a new campground called the Wonderland Valley Resort.

Congratulations to Squamish Toyota for being awarded the top Toyota dealership in B.C. for sales, service and customer service! They are also excited to welcome Brian Ng to their team. Brian has 15 years experience as a master tech and hybrid tech working on Lexus and Toyota vehicles…

Join me in a huge congratulations to Sean Daly, manager of Nesters Market Squamish, for being awarded the Jim Pattison Personal Achievers Award for 2014! The Jim Pattison Group showcases women and men in the company who inspire fellow employees through their personal philosophy and practice each year. Through hard work, dedication and great leadership skills, Sean has achieved outstanding growth in the store. Of course, those who know Sean know that he is not only passionate about his store and his employees, but about Squamish itself. This is very obvious to all, with his tremendous support of community events. In short, Sean Daly is epic…

Dryden Creek Resort is under new ownership, and the Sea to Sky now has its own Wonderland. For decades, Dryden Creek Resort has been a hidden gem among camping enthusiasts in the Sea to Sky region with its close proximity to the popular Alice Lake Provincial Park and affordable, year-round accommodation. That’s about to change.

Dryden Creek Resort was recently purchased by a Squamish family with plans to turn this gem into a brilliant diamond. Craig Davidiuk, his father, Gordon Davidiuk and wife Courtney Driver are the forces behind Wonderland Valley Resort, Squamish’s newest destination for tenting and RV camping. They are extremely thrilled and excited about this new venture!

Craig has a deep understanding of local trails, recreation, amenities and adventure hot spots, and is the third member of his family to own a campground in the past 50 years.

During April, May and June, Wonderland Valley Resort will undergo several improvements. A few of the things you can expect are an improved online presence, 24/7 booking capability online or via telephone, an increased focus on customer needs upon arrival, and increased security. Most of all, look forward to a campground with a relaxing, fun and inviting vibe.

Since marrying in 2007, Craig and Courtney have worked side-by-side on a variety of business and community projects. They have co-owned and operated Ultimate Promotions, which Courtney will continue to operate, as well as being the vice president of Wonderland Valley Resort.

After years of working together in a variety of family enterprises, Craig’s father Gord has signed on for another tour of duty with his son. In the past, Gord has owned a campground and a gas station and served on tourism marketing boards in Alberta. It’s always good to have someone around who has been through it all!

Now, what Wonderland would be complete without a dog? Bella is a seven-year-old Czech Sheppard and can be found following Craig and Courtney around. She likes liver treats and stray hot dogs that belong to small children. Please remember, if you are bringing a four-legged friend to visit Bella, make sure they are on a leash.
