Summertime activities abound

Now that students are on summer holidays I am sure many of them will be heading to a variety of camps. A new venture to consider this year is the Summer Railway Camp at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park and it is for kids seven to 11.

Now that students are on summer holidays I am sure many of them will be heading to a variety of camps. A new venture to consider this year is the Summer Railway Camp at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park and it is for kids seven to 11. Every week during July and August you can spend four days exploring trains, even sleeping overnight in a real train. The camp will include sports, activities, crafts, hikes a visit to the Britannia Mine Museum, sleepovers and lots of exciting adventures. Call the park at (604) 898-9336 for more information and to book an exciting week of railway adventure!

The dedicated members of the Squamish Environmental Society will meet at the Howe Sound Inn and Brewing on Sunday (July 8) at 7 a.m. for their monthly bird count. New members are always welcome to join and for more information, please call Judith at (604) 892-3340.

Your contribution to the Howe Sound Women's Centre Toonie Drive would be much appreciated and the goal is to reach $2,000. Drop your toonies or other change off at the Centre on Third Avenue, at Pearl's Value and Vintage store on Cleveland Avenue or donate online by going to www.canadahelps.org.
