Thanks Edmonton

My 12-year-old son and I flew into Edmonton from Squamish, B.C. this past weekend to attend the band Mariana's Trench all ages concert at the Starlite Room. It was an amazing experience and we soon won't forget how wonderful Edmonton is.

My 12-year-old son and I flew into Edmonton from Squamish, B.C. this past weekend to attend the band Mariana's Trench all ages concert at the Starlite Room. It was an amazing experience and we soon won't forget how wonderful Edmonton is.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mercedes and September, two beautiful young girls in the crowd outside for inviting me and my son Jacksen into the band's sound check and meet and greet with one of their $150 passes. This was my son's first concert and he will never forget meeting his musical idols in person and the young ladies' generous spirit.

I would also like to thank all the kids in the crowd. Near the end of the concert, we discovered we had lost our digital camera in the heart of the tightly packed dance floor. I thought the camera must be broken or lost forever, but no!

The kids let me back onto the floor without evena grumble and each took the time out to check the floor below them, and would you believe it? Our camera was picked up and given back to me in working order!

Thank you Edmonton for an amazing weekend, for an amazing music scene and for a great bunch of kids. And of course thanks to the Starlite Room for hosting the talented Mariana's Trench, Shiloh and Carley Rae Jepsen. Jacks and I will never forget you.

Thank you so much.
