Thanks for nothing

To the town of Squamish and directed at Municipal Hall. Today after waiting two months, I found out the city of Squamish will not be paying to repair my damaged rim/tire that was caused by a ridiculously deep pothole turning into Clark Drive. I am seriously disappointed. I did nothing wrong, yet I have to fork out hundreds of dollars to pay for the damage instead of the municipality doing the right thing. After taking time off work to go down to City Hall to inquire why I have not yet been contacted (it happened nearly two months ago) I find out it was due to lack of communication. Well after waiting I only prolonged what I thought might happen - nothing. Have you all not seen Loggers Lane? Just one of many roads completely torn up. Thank God I was not driving my motorcycle knowing that I would not be entitled to any sort of compensation. To top things off, some jackass decided to key all four doors of my new car! Thanks, $2,000 dollars in damage completely out of my control and guess what, I get to pay for it all. Makes me feel great to be a full time Squamish volunteer and dedicate time between two jobs to help this town. Perhaps I will have to spend less now, and work more to pay for my misfortune.Ben Roy
