Playground Builders would like to thank the Squamish Rotary and those in the community who attended Owen Carney's tribute night. The $6,000 donation by Rotary will be used to help build a playground at a school in Afghanistan.
Working with local businesses and non-profit organizations, Playground Builders Foundation is dedicated to creating safe places for children and their families caught in areas of conflict. Located at schools, refugee camps and orphanages, these playgrounds are sanctuaries where kids can be kids, communities are empowered and families are brought together with new possibilities of hope.
Through the hard work and generosity of many people and organizations around the world including Squamish Rotary, Playground Builders have successfully built 30 playgrounds so far. Thanks to the support of the Squamish community these Afghani children will soon have the opportunity to play.
