Thanks to hospital staff

I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the family of Lloyd Daniel to express how grateful we are for the care that our father/husband received while at Squamish General Hospital.

I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the family of Lloyd Daniel to express how grateful we are for the care that our father/husband received while at Squamish General Hospital. Far too often the positives are not acknowledged and dad believed in giving credit where credit was due, so he requested to speak with the acute care manager to thank the staff.

All of the nurses that cared for Lloyd were very professional and always left dad with his dignity intact, for which he was very grateful. It meant a lot to us as his family to see the compassion that the nursing staff and doctors displayed.

We would like to thank the nurses for helping dad find his “lost dog,” and for taking all of his “that’s what she said” jokes in stride.

Some of the nurses might have thought that my mother, brother, two sisters, and I were “off our rockers” when, on the night that dad passed away, they came into his room to find us with tears running down our cheeks and laughing at one of dad’s all-time favorite jokes. I think somebody may have even been clucking! But believe me, dad wanted to leave us laughing, and that he did.

So thanks again to the wonderful staff at SGH for your support, professionalism, and compassion. It was much appreciated
