If Mr. Bob Kusch is saying that $11,500 is incurred for weekend maintenance (garbage cleanup) during tournament season, then maybe an increase in user fees could offset some of these costs.
But if Mr. Bob Kusch is saying that $11,500 can be saved by not having tournaments then his position of Director of Recreation, Parks and Tourism becomes an oxymoron.
Ask the hotel, restaurant and bar owners if the $11,500 incurred during fastball, slo-pitch and soccer tournaments is worth it.
