Re. "Sign complaint," from Owen Carter of Mississauga (Letters, Chief, Nov. 11).
Owen Carter, visiting from Mississauga, thought our election signs were a joke. He lives in a municipality that is so apathetic it has elected the same mayor for 40 years.
Anyway, he has missed the essential point. Political electioncan be a very expensive game, usually reserved for those with money. But here in Squamish we embrace all comers and if they can't afford fancy signs, well that's just fine. We thank them for joining the race.
