What about trails?

Dear Editor,

I find it somehow sickly humorous that our province spends how many billions on the Sea to Sky Highway upgrades, the DOS is working on how many road upgrades around town, and we still don't have a good valley trail to link this sprawled out community together.

"Sustainability" isn't really that en vogue. But seriously, am I the only one that's sick of playing chicken with enraged motorists, while simply trying to roll across town via non-mechanized transport on rough pot-holed shoulders?

Has such a trail not been on the campaign platform of virtually every town councillor in office today?

Or perhaps another idea. Maybe we should just develop all the land that we could have used for a valley trail into scorched earth parking lots and foreign owned chain stores selling cheep Chinese goods.

People weren't coming here because it was a beautiful coastal rainforest anyway.
