Mayor and council,
I would like to know your vision of where the downtown is heading. Are we going to keep allowing landlords to leave lots unchecked and used for dumping grounds or as drug houses?
Is this the Olympic vision? What a disgrace! My property has been surrounded by this for over 10 years and it is not getting better.
I now have a daycare going into my ground floor space. Shouldn't these families have the right to use the space without watching shady creatures slinking about ready to score?
There is also another government daycare across the street. It is businesses - these including myself -that are paying for your wages and also the wages of the police force that are called in to endlessly deal with these people.
Seems like a waste of money when neither groups are correcting the problem. If it was outside your door, you would want it changed. Cannot a bylaw be established to stop these landlords from renting to them?
This town need your help, now. This should be priority one. I am not the first to mention this so what is your answer to fix the problem?
And please no typical political smoke blowing. Be accountable, for Squamish's citizens' sake.
