EDITOR,

Nova Scotia again.

Halifax, the Annapolis Valley and Cape Breton all have public transit. They have all been praised in national and international publications. Now they are sponsoring a Sustainable Transportation Conference for young people.

On behalf of CUTA's Atlantic Region members, Metro Transit is pleased to host Making the Connection: Rural to Urban Transportation, a summit for young people aged 17 to 25 on sustainable transportation at Dalhousie University from July 8 to 10.

Participants will be selected through an application process which must demonstrate an interest and knowledge of public transit and sustainable transportation, as well as past involvement in advocacy and other leadership roles. It is anticipated that 25-30 participants will be selected for the summit.

Perhaps there are some young people who might be able to help us bring public transit to the Sea to Sky Corridor.

Do you know any 17 to 25 year olds with an interest in public transit? For info, visit http://www.cutaactu.ca/en/eventsandawards/RYSAtlantic.aspMurray GambleSquamish
