West Fraser Timber CEO Ray Ferris to retire in December

Chief operating officer Sean McLaren to replace Ferris as CEO

Ray Ferris, CEO of West Fraser Timber (TSX,NYSE:WFG), plans to retire at the end of December, the company announced by press release.

Ferris, who has worked for West Fraser for 26 years, has served as CEO since 2019.

"During his tenure as chief executive officer the company has grown substantially in sales, profits, product mix and geographic diversification," the company's press release stated.

West Fraser’s current chief operating officer, Sean McLaren, will be stepping into Ferris’ shoes as CEO, the company said.
