Shane Grant joins board of Vancouver's Lululemon

Lululemon's newest board member is the group deputy CEO, CEO Americas and executive vice-president of dairy, plant-based and global sales at dairy giant Danone.

Vancouver-based apparel retailer Lululemon Athletica Inc. (Nasdaq:LULU) has added a longtime retail executive to its board of directors. 

New board member Shane Grant is the group deputy CEO, CEO Americas and executive vice-president of dairy, plant-based and global sales at dairy giant Danone. Before he joined Danone in May 2020, after being at the Coca-Cola Co. (NYSE:KO) for almost 20 years, working up to being president of still beverages in North America. 

“Shane has an impressive track record of driving global growth of branded consumer businesses and I am delighted to welcome him to the Lululemon board of directors,” said the board's chair, Martha Morfitt. “Shane’s global experience, insight into consumer trends and product innovation will be beneficial as lululemon continues to execute on its ... growth strategy."

Grant serves on the board of directors of FMI, the Food Industry Association, the Consumer Brands Association and the American Beverage Association. He is originally from New Zealand, and he received business and arts degrees from the University of Auckland.
