After months of renovations and planning, locally owned Squamish Canadian Tire is thrilled to announce its grand reopening, featuring a shopping experience that’s built around how people in Squamish actually live: active, outdoorsy and always up for adventure.
The refreshed store features a brand new camping and outdoor pro shop, offering an expanded selection of top-tier gear for hiking, biking, camping, hunting, fishing and watersports—perfectly suited to Squamish’s adventurous spirit. Outdoor enthusiasts will find everything they need to explore the Sea-to-Sky region.

- Improved speed and experience for same-day customer pick-up options, including text-enabled curbside pickup and automated click and collect lockers.
- Enhanced digitization, including expanded use of electronic shelf labels, digital appointment scheduling and digital wayfinding that provides step-by-step directions to a product and then triggers a signal to identify its precise location.
- An enhanced in-store mobile app experience through redemption of eCTM, including loyalty offer swapping.
- Expanded and enhanced camping and outdoor section.
- An expanded and refreshed store.
“We're very excited to bring new smart shopping technology to Squamish that makes finding products easier than ever,” says House. “But we’re also proud to respect what our customers have told us—no self-checkouts. We have enhanced and streamlined our checkout and customer service experience and we’re keeping the in-person experience intact because that’s what matters to our community.”
To mark the occasion, the store will host an eight-day grand reopening celebration starting May 22, including product demos, swag giveaways, family-friendly activities and exclusive deals.
