Squamish athletes showcase their skills at the BC Difficulty and Speed Provincials

Cedar Pidgeon secured first place in the difficulty competition.

Squamish climbers representing Ground Up and the Grand Wall Bouldering Coop made an impressive showing at recent provincial competitions in Central Saanich.

The BC Difficulty and Speed Provincials took place from April 19 to 21, and pitted locals against top athletes from around the province.

 

Youth D Female;

-Sofia Aragon (6th place difficulty; 6th place speed)

 

Youth C Female:

-Cedar Pidgeon (1st place difficulty; 3rd place speed)

-Nicole McLeod (10th difficulty; 10th place speed)

-Winter Robichaud (12th difficulty, 9th space speed)

 

Youth C Male:

-Owen McJannet (4th place difficulty; 1st place speed)

-Griffin Tulk (5th difficulty)

 

Youth B Female:

-Annabelle McDonald (4th difficulty; 8th place speed)

 

Open Male:

-Matt Ogilvie Turner (Junior 7th difficulty; 13th place speed)
