The Sea to Sky Eagles have returned home with some hardware to be proud of.

The Eagles are a Sea to Sky Community Services team of 14 competitors and eight coaches from Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, and Mount Currie that attended Operation Trackshoes in Victoria last weekend (June 7 to  9).

The three-day provincial track meet is held in Victoria every year for adults with disabilities.

The local team won two trophies: Team Sportsmanship and Adult Team 2nd Place.

"They had a great weekend, enjoying all the sports, the dances, and the banquet. They make new friends every year and connect with friends they have met over the years," said Cindy Cardiff, one of the team's coaches in an email to The Chief.

"The Sea to Sky Eagles train hard throughout the year and fundraise to help cover their costs."
