Squamish is vying to get itself crowned the Kraft Hockeyville of 2020.

Locals have put in a submission to have Brennan Park recognized for its contribution to hockey life in town.

In order to get picked for the prize, which is an NHL game and $250,000 in arena upgrades, locals have to submit pictures, stories and videos about their experiences on the ice at that location.

Submitting stories creates the most amount of points, so folks who want to have Brennan Park picked would do well to have an anecdote at the ready.

People interested in doing their part to help Squamish take the prize can send their submissions here.

A panel of judges will read the stories, which will be worth 80% of each community's top score.

The judges will then select the Top 4 communities on March 14, which will then compete in a round of public voting on March 27.

The winner will be crowned on March 28.
