After earning their place to complete at the invite-only IFSA North American championships, Squamish skiers Kayley Sherlock and Ryder Bulfone kicked the competition into high gear.

At Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden, B.C., earlier this month, 14-year-old Sherlock was both first in her age group and first place IFSA Overall for the season.

Bulfone made a mistake in his qualifying run, but bounced back in his final run to place second, moving him from 18th place to sixth in his age category. He ended the competition as third IFSA Overall in Canada. He also qualified to compete for Canada at the World Junior Freeride Championships in 2020 in Europe.
