TransLink has partnered up with Lime to offer discount rides in Richmond during scheduled maintenance periods for Canada Line.

Commuters travelling between Bridgeport and Richmond-Brighouse stations from now until Oct. 31 will get to use Lime electric vehicles at 40 per cent off.

A QR code for the coupon will be available at Bridgeport, Aberdeen, Lansdowne and Richmond-Brighouse stations and is valid between 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.

“Lime is proud to collaborate with TransLink to make it easy for TransLink customers to choose Lime’s sustainable vehicles when maintenance impacts service,” said Sonia Kandola, director of government relations at Lime.

“This innovative project will enhance convenience for riders and help Metro Vancouver continue to encourage and promote affordable, sustainable transportation options.”

TransLink announced last month that Canada Line service in Richmond will be stopping early at 9:30 p.m. on weekdays for the Capstan Station construction.

The service disruption is expected to last until Dec. 19 and return to normal on Dec. 20.
