Looks like another Metro Vancouver resident is planning to head abroad thanks to an exciting win playing Lotto Max in B.C.

Surrey's Cheseeka Seeratun says she’s looking forward to planning a trip to Mexico or Greece after winning a $1-million Maxmillions prize from the Lotto Max draw on June 22, 2021.

Seeratun picked up her winning ticket from the Shoppers Drug Mart at Clover Square Village, and learned she was $1 million richer after checking the winning numbers online.

“My first thought was, ‘Oh my god, did I just win a million dollars?’” Seeratun says in a media release issued by BCLC.

“I am excited and happy," adds the delighted winner.

When Seeratun shared the thrilling news with her husband, he thought she was joking.

It's no joke though. The Surrey couple also have plans to make more of their dreams come true, in addition to getting some stamps on their passports.

The win will help Seeratun "buy a better house and afford things I couldn’t afford before,” adds the lucky lotto player.
