Seattle Seahawks legend K.J. Wright lines up with the Vancouver College Fighting Irish prior to the start of last Friday's Blue Friday Night Lights program against the Centennial Centaurs at Centennial Secondary School.

Football may not be the biggest sport in the Sea to Sky, but local boys and girls interested in tossing around the pigskin have a unique opportunity to do so this Saturday.

On Dec. 9, the Seattle Seahawks are hosting a flag football clinic at the Whistler Racket Club from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The free camp is open to youngsters aged six to 14 and includes a variety of activities, including quarterback throwing exercises, linebacker and defensive back-specific drills, combine testing, agility challenges, one-on-one flag pulling and route running, and flag games that simulate a two-minute drill to get the ball downfield quickly. Wide receivers will also be taught a route tree and proper catching techniques.
