The 11th annual PearlSpace International Women’s Day Online Silent Auction is set to begin.

A long-established, locally-based organization, PearlSpace works to prevent and address gender-based violence.

There are tons of items in the auction to bid on from fitness passes to art to meals to tours, and much more.

The online event will run from 8 a.m. on Friday, March 8 (International Women's Day) to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 22.

To participate, go to the auction website.

“All proceeds from the online auction will go towards the Squamish and Whistler Drop-In Centres," said Ashley Oakes, executive director of PearlSpace in a news release.

"These centres are community hubs and act as a single access point for crisis support, resources and referrals."

She also thanked local businesses for the many items on offer.

Last year, this event raised over $10,000 for PearlSpace. This year, the goal is to double that to $20,000, added Oakes.

"Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve and inspire inclusion," she said.
