Daniel Arneson.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Daniel Arneson: husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend.

Born in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan, Dan was destined to be a farmer until opportunities took him to Haida Gwaii in 1967, and B.C. would forever be his home.

Logging then took his family to Cooper Creek, Lillooet, Pemberton, Furry Creek and finally Squamish, where he and his wife Marilyn, of 56 years, resided until his passing.

Dan is survived by his wife Marilyn, daughter Lauri (Willie Antone), grandchildren Abbey, Myia, Tessa and Nick and great-grandson Aira. And special niece Nancy. He was predeceased by his son Dean Arneson, parents Melvin and Martha Arneson, and brother James.

Always solving puzzles, always working hard and always adding embellishments to his stories. Dan was a character if there ever was one. He had the work ethic of his farming family and never shied away from a long day of work.

We will forever cherish his curiosity, foul language and humour.
