See: Squamish Chief journalists try Squamish's rental e-bikes

On Aug. 21, two local journalists took the newly launched Evolve e-bikes for a test ride, offering firsthand insight into the experience.

The Evolve e-bike share, a partnership with the District of Squamish, began in May of this year.

There are 75 electric bikes for rent at spots all around town.

The bikes can reach speeds of 25 km/h and cost $0.35 per minute.

The Squamish Chief’s editor, Jennifer Thuncher, and reporter Ina Pace gave the bikes a spin on Aug. 21.
