The Sea to Sky Singers will soon be performing its 2023 winter concert in Squamish.

Titled “Silent Night, Joyous Day,” the concert will be held at St. John the Divine Anglican Church at 1930 Diamond Rd. on Saturday, Dec. 16 and Sunday, Dec. 17.

The Saturday show takes place at 7:30 p.m. with the Sunday show starting at 2 p.m.

“The show will feature a selection of music divided into distinct halves,” reads a news release from the choir.

“The opening [focuses] on the silence, peace and serenity of a winter’s night, and Christmas Eve. After the intermission, attendees will be treated to music celebrating the playfulness and joy of Christmas Day.”

This fall’s choir will feature about 50 singers, which is one of the largest in its history.

“Under the guidance of music director Veronica McPhee, the choir will perform 10 selections, along with solo, small ensemble and instrumental pieces featuring Barb Cooke on violin, Katie Coombs on clarinet, Sandra Ashmore on oboe and Andrea Cotter on piano. Jacquie Brownridge will serve as the choir’s accompanist.”

The show costs $25 for adults, $15 for students and is free for those aged 12 and under.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or through e-transfer with details at seatoskysingers.net
