COVID-19 exposure at Squamish’s Valleycliffe Elementary

School District 48 says three classes have been asked to monitor their symptoms.

Three classes at Valleycliffe Elementary have been asked to monitor their symptoms, following a COVID-19 exposure.

Phillip Clarke, SD48’s director of instruction, told The Chief the exposure happened between March 15 and 16.

Clarke said school officials were notified on March 19.

Vancouver Coastal Health has sent letters to families in the affected groups, asking them to monitor their symptoms.

Students are on spring break from March 22 to April 5.

Earlier this month there was a potential exposure at Mamquam Elementary between March 3 to 5.
