Squamish RCMP are reminding residents that June is gun amnesty month. Gun owners are asked not to drop off their firearms at detachments.
Anyone wishing to dispose of firearms may call the Squamish RCMP detachment to have an officer remove the gun from their home. The guns are inspected and cross-referenced with outstanding crimes before being transported to Vancouver for destruction.
