Emergency vehicles responded to a single-vehicle motorcycle accident early Sunday afternoon on the highway near Brunswick Beach Road in Lions Bay. The rider was considered a novice and inexperienced, Squamish RCMP said, and was airlifted to Vancouver General Hospital in stable condition. The Sea to Sky Highway was closed for the helicopter for approximately 20 minutes.
