Day 2 of the 68th annual Squamish Days Loggers Sports Festival is done and dusted.
Friday, Aug. 1 saw the ever-popular Squamish Days Bed Races roll down Cleveland Ave.
Organized by the Squamish Legion, this chaotic and entertaining race features teams in costume pushing hospital beds through a series of obstacles:
Here's some other aspects of the race:
- Teams of five—four pushers and one rider
- A two-block obstacle course full of surprises, challenges, and teamwork tests
- Costumes are encouraged, and judged
- Seven heats total
- Prizes for the top three teams and the Best Costumed Team
