Squamish firefighters put out a kitchen fire on Windsor Place, which is near Tantalus Road, on Wednesday evening.
“Our crew had a quick response and limited the fire damage to the oven appliance,” said deputy fire chief Aaron Foote in a statement emailed to The Chief. “There was some smoke and water damage in the home, and no injuries.”
The tenants have been displaced for now, but have received support from emergency social services.
It’s unclear how long they might be out of a home.
