Here are the latest police briefs from the Squamish RCMP, sent out July 12, 2022.

Back alley fire

On July 7, Squamish RCMP received a report of a pile of books smouldering in the back ally behind the 38000-block of Second Avenue. This is the second report of items set on fire in this alley in the past month.

Egged and more

The same day, officers were called to a report of a vehicle that had been egged. This wasn't the first time this has happened. In addition to eggs, other food items have been thrown at this vehicle nearly a dozen times in the past month, police said. Anyone who may have witnessed these incidents is asked to phone the police or Crime Stoppers.

Mischief to Vehicle

On July 8, 2022, Squamish RCMP received a report of mischief to a vehicle in the 40000-block of Willow Crescent where someone had let the air out of a vehicle's tires and appeared to have cut its brake line. The vehicle's sunroof was also damaged, and there were scratches all over the passenger side doors. Thus far, no witnesses have come forward.
