Cars sprayed with paint thinner
Two cars need repairs after being sprayed with paint thinner in the 39000 block of Government Road on March 9. Squamish RCMP said in a press release that similar incidents have happened in that neighbourhood in 2018 and 2019.
Speeding
Three drivers were issued tickets for excessive speed on Highway 99 on March 4 after a police officer saw them driving 153 kilometres per hour in an 80 km/h area. The vehicles have been impounded for a week.
Break and enter
A residence in the 1100 block of Wilson Crescent was broken into between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. on March 4. Two wallets were taken and their contents were later found outside.
March safe driving campaigns
In partnership with ICBC and the Sea to Sky Traffic Services, Squamish RCMP are doing road checks for distracted driving and passenger seatbelts.
