Squamish RCMP have laid charges after an incident that took place in downtown Squamish on Tuesday.
Charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon were laid against Stephanie Carmen Jade Elk, 32, and Michael Darren Phillip Elk, 20, after a stabbing that happened early Tuesday morning at a residence in the 38400 block of Buckley Avenue, Squamish RCMP said.
The suspects and the victim were known to each other.
The suspects, a sister and brother, were later found by police and arrested at a different residence in the 1200 block of Main Street on Tuesday afternoon. Both suspects will remain in custody until they appear in court on Nov. 12, police said.
