With Quest campus sold, when will the name of its Squamish bus route change?

Bus Route 9 renamed in wake of the purchase of Quest by CapU.
Quest currently remains the No. 9 bus route name, such as at this stop on Buckley Avenue.

With Quest University Canada no longer operating in the Garibaldi Highlands, when will the buses change?

Staff with the District of Squamish tell The Squamish Chief that the Route 9 display name on the Quest University buses and in the digital Rider’s Guide will change from ‘Quest University’ to ‘University’ on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

The printed Rider’s Guides will be updated when the next print run takes place, expected sometime in 2024, said District spokesperson Rachel Boguski.

Capilano University announced Aug. 16 that, with the help of funding from the provincial government, it had purchased the former Quest University lands and buildings.

The site will become a Squamish campus of CapU, aiming for 100 students at the Squamish CapU campus in September of 2024, with a total of 380 students eventually.
