WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension with Canadian linebacker Shayne Gauthier on Wednesday. Gauthier, of Dolbeau-Mistassini, Que., was scheduled to become a free agent next month.

The University of Michigan has agreed to a $490 million settlement with hundreds of people who say they were sexually assaulted by a former sports doctor at the school, those involved in the agreement said Wednesday.
