Chuck McMann, who won Grey Cups as a CFL player and assistant coach, has died. He was 70. The Calgary Stampeders made the announcement Wednesday.

SEATTLE (AP) — The first roster for the Seattle Kraken won’t include Carey Price. The Montreal Canadiens goaltender was not selected by the Kraken in the NHL expansion draft, according to a person with direct knowledge of the decision.

TORONTO — The Toronto Blue Jays have dealt pitcher Joel Payamps to the Kansas City Royals for cash considerations. Payamps posted a 2.70 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 30.0 innings this season.

VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Whitecaps say they will return to Canada for a week of training at the end of July. The club says in a statement that it will return to Vancouver, B.C., from the U.S. on July 25 and resume training two days later.

MONTREAL — The Montreal Canadiens have named Trevor Letowski as a new assistant coach. Letowski, 44, has been the head coach of the Ontario Hockey League's Windsor Spitfires since 2018, and previously worked with the Sarnia Sting.

CALGARY — Dave Cameron has been named head coach of Canada's national junior hockey team and will guide the squad through the 2022 world junior championship in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alta.

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Bucks are NBA champions. Milwaukee beat the Phoenix Suns 105-98 on Tuesday to take the best-of-seven NBA Finals in six games. It is Milwaukee's first NBA championship since 1971.
