Environment Canada issues air warning for Squamish

Smoke from the United States continues to blanket town

Environment Canada is warning that Squamish's air quality is 'very high risk' today.

The agency rated the air quality as 10+, which is the worst rating that air can receive.

In these conditions, people are being asked to reduce or avoid strenuous exercise and stay home, if possible.

Those with respiratory conditions are particularly at risk and should be extra careful.

The bad air is forecast to continue tonight and into Monday.
