Four people are in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a motorcycle and a vehicle collided on Lillooet Lake Road, north of Pemberton, on Friday, July 31.
The investigation is still ongoing, but Whistler RCMP say it appears one vehicle crossed the centre line resulting in the collision around 9:50 a.m.
The motorcyclist and three occupants of the vehicle were taken to a local hosptial. While the road was still closed at 10:45 a.m., police did not believe traffic would be impacted for much longer.
First responders continue to investigate.
The accident marks the fourth crash involving a motorcycle in the area since the beginning of July.
A 31-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on July 3. On July 5, three motorcyles were involved in a collision with a car near Joffre Lake Provincial Park on Highway 99, killing one rider and injuring three other people.
In a statement issued after another accident on July 26 involving several motorcycles and vehicles, RCMP Sgt. Sascha Banks issued a plea for caution.
"This is the third motorcycle and vehicle collision on the Duffey portion of Highway 99 in several weeks and we are asking the public to please use caution when using our highway and backroads," said Banks, in the release at the time.
