Letter: Don’t muzzle councillors, Squamish

'Democracy relies on its citizens to have enough info to make informed decisions and hold elected officials and bureaucrats accountable.'

Democracy relies on its citizens to have enough info to make informed decisions and hold elected officials and bureaucrats accountable.

We rely on free access to info to tell us what our government is doing and whether or not we want them to keep doing it.

Not allowing Coun. Eric Anderson to do one of the very things he was elected for is ludicrous, what are the council and bureaucrats embarrassed by the truth?

If this is some kind of violation of the Charter, then the Charter is wrong.

To muzzle elected officials and employees is not a step forward but a big step backwards.
