Squamish is the heart of Sea to Sky country. Multiple provincial parks, a municipal climbing park, a gondola, and an extensive network of mountain trails attract visitors and new residents to our corner of the world every day to experience the land.

As many of the Squamish Chief’s longtime readers know, Darrell Bay was used to transport staff to and from the Woodfibre pulp mill, which closed in 2006.

The bad attitude south of the border is enough to make you cancel your holiday plans to Yosemite or San Francisco and spend your money in the Great White North. The south is out. B.C. is a staycation paradise.

After fits and false starts, adventurer travels from Gibsons to Squamish

Re: "Tourism and industry: visions for Darrell Bay" (July 19, 2018) As many of the Squamish Chief's longtime readers know, Darrell Bay was used to transport staff to and from the Woodfibre pulp mill, which closed in 2006.

One of the things that first attracted me to proportional representation (PR) apart from the fact that it just made sense, is that it is supported by people across the political spectrum.

I am a cancer survivor and have been waging a war for life for the past two years. I just moved here a year ago so don’t really know too many folks. I moved because I felt it had a sense of community.
