Editor, I would like to thank the community of Squamish for their outpour of support for the Squamish Santa Claus Parade.

Editor, We at Howe Sound Secondary understand that the trail behind the school is disgusting and littered with garbage ["Clean it up," The Chief, Oct. 9].

Editor, [Squamish Youth Soccer Association] SYSA website states "The alternate all-weather field schedule is in effect for U13 to U18 divisions.

The following letter to the mayor and council was copied to The Chief for publication. In reading through the various Official Community Plan documents available online at www.businesssquamish.

Editor, I am outraged about the District of Squamish hiring a trapper to kill beavers along Loggers Lane ("District trapper kills 12 beavers," The Chief, Oct. 20). Squamish residents take great pride in the area's natural beauty.

There is nothing like procrastination. I am supposed to be working on a research paper with a deadline looming, but I can't seem to keep my eyes from wandering to my next door neighbour's hawthorn tree.

This letter was sent to the District of Squamish planning department, mayor and councillors and copied to The Chief for publication.

Editor, Do you know why the buses here don't run on Sundays, or really in the evening, or why you can't take dogs on them? My car recently broke down and I was all but cut off in Brackendale.

Editor, This is an open letter to thank the residents of Howe Sound for their participation and support of the Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart programs this past year.

Editor, I read The Chief's recent article regarding the change of ownership at Tim Hortons. We have been away since the sale and I was unaware The Chief had tried to contact me, which is unfortunate but no mystery.
