On a day of democracy, the A&W Beyond Meat Burger will return

The vegan patty is back in stock the same day Squamish’s All-Candidates Meeting

Earlier this year, this sign was posted to Squamish's A&W. Stores across Canada are expected to restock on Oct. 1.

Yes, people, really important news here — it’s perhaps the biggest election announcement yet.

Anyone looking to try the Beyond Meat burger at the A&W in town will likely have been disappointed, as of late.

The vegan patty has been so popular that it’s been sold out for weeks.

But there is hope.

A&W has announced that it will have its popular product back in stock across Canada on Oct. 1 — which coincidentally happens to be the day of one of Squamish’s municipal All-Candidates Meeting.

Prospective councillors and mayoral candidates will be fielding questions about their platforms from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Brennan Park Recreation Centre.

So if you happen to buy a burger, remember to participate in democracy.
