When I was young, Sunday nights meant The Beachcombers. My brother and I would pack into our favourite chair in front of the television, eager to see what adventures log salvager Nick Adonidas and his rival Relic would get into.

EDITOR, To the people that think the councillors' pay raise stinks or that they are robbing the town's coffers, I say look elsewhere for your stench.

When Western Forest Products shut down the Woodfibre pulp mill in 2006, the District of Squamish lost something like $1.7 million in property taxes, not to mention 325 good-paying jobs.

EDITOR, I am a climber, mountain biker, skier and travel enthusiast from Portland, Ore. In my adventures, I've been fortunate enough to visit some of your wonderful provincial parks in B.C. and Alberta.

As a new councillor, the last three months have been the best chaos I could have imagined.
