Randy Walter has been a Hilltop House resident since 2004. I am writing this letter because of the recent negativity in the paper about the Hilltop House Long Term Care Facility.

In regards to the article about Quest University ending the Varsity Athletics program in March, it deeply concerns me the path Quest has choose into the future.

The Cheema family’s recent decision to erect a fence at the end of Perth Drive to, I assume, restrict access to District Lot 509 is a significant development with major ramifications for many in our community.

With the passing of my mum Doreen Ramus on Saturday at Hilltop House where she was a resident only since October, I have to say that the care aides, the nurses and the facility in general has gotten bad publicity in my opinion.

I recently saw that bottled water was on sale at a grocery store. I love water. But bottled water in B.C. is an abomination.
