I n a script right out of Animal Farm, George Orwell’s classic political satire, it appears all visitors to Squamish are equal but some have become less equal than others. We’ll get to the gist of that narrative shortly, but first a bit of history.

I bicycle commute to work every day that there isn’t ice on the road – so drivers see me out there all the time, at the same times of the day that they are out there commuting.

A n yone who knows me will tell you that I wasn’t exactly an angel growing up. I got into trouble once in a while on the path to maturity, got detention occasionally, maybe a suspension or two in high school.

T here is no better time to support the local arts scene now that the month-long Squamish ArtWalk is underway. In a time when the world seems more turbulent – be it civil unrest or record-breaking storms in the U.S.

Me and You Arts opens in the Squamish Town Hub

This is a response to Colin Burkes’ letter against a water park in last week’s edition of The Chief. He is entitled to his position but the argument he put forward holds no water.

With increasing population and traffic in Squamish, I am concerned about the number of bicyclists that bicycle on the wrong side of the road.

O h boy, it’s September all ready? I was on Facebook today and saw someone starting a page looking for people interested in being on council; such a good idea to get dialogue going on this one.
