EDITOR,I was disappointed to read the negative coverage of the National Climbing Centre and Scott Crescent proposal ("Attendees oppose Scott Crescent plan," Chief online, April 4).

Recent events in Japan and New Zealand have highlighted the dangers associated with living in earthquake-prone areas.
