Could we truly eradicate tuberculosis? I am hoping that the answer to this question lies within us and that with a fresh new government in power, we might be able to persuade the Canadian public to consider a world without this age-old disease.

The residents of Squamish know what a treasure of a town Squamish is. Nature and outdoor recreation surrounds us, and we enjoy the beauty every day.

As the saying goes, all good things must end. After 21 years, more than 20,000 riders, an army of volunteers and unwavering community support, Squamish’s signature cycling event, the Test of Metal, will pedal into the sunset this coming June.

We live in a harsh world – and in Squamish, it seems, it’s becoming harsher. On the weekend, I toured apartments with a friend considering a move to Squamish.

After six years, the Squamish Valley Music Festival was abruptly cancelled last week, without even a word to the 20,000 Squamish residents who hosted the huge festival every year.

Re: “Stories of abuse emerge at Squamish meeting” (March 3): I was sad to see the negative title on the story covering the Evening Celebrating Reconciliation.

Did you know that there is a lot of sea animals dying in Squamish because of plastic? We want it to stop! If you go in our Squamish waters, you will find a lot of plastic. If animals eat plastic, they will die.

My son and I moved to Squamish in 2005, when I had just left my marriage and was on welfare for a few months.
