Life kicked into high gear a couple of months ago and I haven’t seen hide nor hair of my sanity since. After going back to work full-time – in an office with other humans, no less – I’ve had to adjust to a whole new reality.

A fascinating year is coming to a close with a new council, a new board of school trustees and exciting new possibilities for the year ahead. This year, we lived through the labour dispute between the provincial government and the B.C.

My amazing predecessor, Rebecca Aldous, said in her parting column that interviewing sources was a bit like having multiple one-night stands. As a middle-aged happily married mom, I would not put it quite like that, but her point is valid.
