The letter writer M. King says the government is making the argument that the tarsands oil is to help China cleanup its act; meanwhile the government just approved the expansion of the coal port.

Our community seemed to have dodged a big cleanup bill when Spudnik went south in the early morning of Nov. 12. Cleanliness of our shoreline is our big responsibility.
